This chapter of the Parenting Handbook contains eight articles and is 26 pages. It offers an overview of important concepts for Christian parenting. This chapter sketches some universal and overall ideas that undergird parenting at all ages. Children are ours to disciple for only a time; then we send them into God’s world to honor him with their gifts. That’s rather different from a marriage, which grows ever deeper until death do us part. Providing, protecting, and pruning with intention is God’s call on parents as we show them how to be citizens of God’s kingdom.
